Paul Bunyan

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh!

A baby was born on the Fourth of July

A hundred and fifty-six pounds, oh my.

Paul Bunyan   Paul Bunyan

From the time that boy could crawl on his knees,

He just loved chopping on all the trees.

Paul Bunyan   Paul Bunyan

And he grew into a giant man

It felt so good with an axe in his hand

For he’d designed a lumberjack plan

For all the frontier.

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

One winter came and it got so cold

Everything turned bright blue you know.

Paul Bunyan   Paul Bunyan

And way down deep in the frozen snow

A little blue ox was moaning low.

Paul Bunyan   Paul Bunyan

He saved that critter from a bitter end

And they became best lumberjack friends

Working hard together with the timbermen

In the mountain forest.

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh!

Now Paul and Babe roamed the timber line

Inventin’ up things that were mighty fine.

Paul Bunyan   Paul Bunyan

From coast to coast they did what they could

Clearing the land giving settlers wood.

Paul Bunyan   Paul Bunyan

Well the stories grow and never end

About the giant man and his big blue friend

When you’re out in the woods you’d better listen

You might hear Paul working.

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!

Ooh chop!  Ooh chop chop!
